Green Market Linz, Upper Austria

The Green Market represents a hybrid consisting of a square, a park, and a market.
A large green area was located in front of the new market hall to provide cohesion as a “green centrepiece”. This incorporates all the pedestrian routes and is framed by a substantial piece of street furniture. The objective is to fill the Grünmarkt with life, while taking into consideration the city’s need for green space.
