Landscape architecture Ludwig Zatzka Park, Vienna

The aim of the park redesign is to create a contemporary appearance and adequate facilities. The paths with a clear design language will be developed into a "loop". This formal language is accentuated by perennial and grass ribbons and framed with seating elements. For the main park access in the northern part, a plaza-like opening situation is envisaged as a reception zone, first point of orientation and distributor. In the area of tension between the main park access and the heavily frequented passage to the Breitensee S-Bahn station, the generous, square-like widening will increase the quality of the area. The networked opening zone to the park acts as an inviting communicator to the urban surroundings. The 'self-cleaning' paving stones, the drinking fountain, the fog showers and the spacious playground for small children provide a plus in quality of life. wien.gv.at/presse steinwerke.at bdb.at
